Industrial Gases - Oxygen
Oxygen was the first and remains one of the main industrial gases in our range. It is supplied in liquid or gaseous form, in individual cylinders or bundles.
Oxygen is a diatomic gas and makes up 21% of the atmosphere by volume. It is also found in compounds such as water and iron ore. Oxygen is colorless, odorless and tasteless gas which combines with most elements. It is used most often for its life sustaining properties and is required for nearly all combustion.
Oxygen has various industrial uses, including cutting and welding, steel manufacturing, waste treatment, etc. UHP grade oxygen is used for organic and inorganic chemical synthesis. Zero grade oxygen is used as a fuel gas in various types of chemical analyzers.
Usage
- High energy combustion removes impurities.
- Heat source in Welding and Cutting.
- Treatment of respiratory insufficiencies .
- Propulsion of space vehicles, rocket fuel.
- Paper pulp bleaching.
- Water purifications, tea, odor control.
